Easy Sketching Techniques

Below about easy sketching technique.

Outline techniques for beginners to learn to hold a pen. Well, there is no perfect way to keep a pen and probably what works for you, you get the best results. There are also many myths, like an artist should take a pencil and if you buy these myths and try to artificially hold a pencil, you're probably the worst thing for your art.

Tripod Grip: The grip tripod is the most common way to hold a pencil, which is also used for writing. This is when your thumb and forefinger of a triangle whose shape middle finger and is supported by the ring and little fingers. It allows the finger to a precise control of the beam have. If you keep the pen in its vertical position in a saucepan handle, it will allow the most accurate shadow with the tip. If you hold a pencil in a tripod handle, you can use your thumb and fingers to control the pen, and to function properly, you can rest your hand on paper only. Always use a spare paper to keep your sketches of burrs that occurs due to skin oils and sweat.

Extended Tripod Grip: Advanced grip tripod holds a different kind of pen. The way you hold a pencil into this jack is the same as in taking the basic tripod, hold only the position changes that this time is on the upper side of the pencil. Since its grip is the same as in the stand base is there an easier way to practice drawing techniques, especially for amateurs, because it allows greater freedom. Advanced tripod grip allows small movements of the fingers, producing a larger movement of the stylus, making it effectively a handle for drawing. Keep a relaxed grip on the pencil, it is to achieve the best results. A firm grip is restrictive and tiring.

Top Handle: Most artists with the top handle to hold a pencil. It is often recommended for design because of its ease on the side of a pencil. The pencil is easily positioned against the fingers with the flat of your thumb. The exact position of a top handle varies from hand to hand, the proportions of the hand. One thing to remember is to have a relaxed grip on the pencil. This grip is best suited for vertical surfaces such as drawing a screen vertically. For best results with the top handle, you must either sit or stand so the arm is replaced by a wider space to allow free and expressive mark-making.

In Handle: The handle is actually a relaxed way, when to hold a pencil drawing. It can be explained as a bit above the flat handle even your thumb to move it up or you want to pencil in a V-shape of the thumb and the palm pose, with the middle finger and index finger to control the pencil . The low grip is relaxed and wide for a sketch used.

The Technique of Sketching

Below about the sketching technique.

In essence, a sketch can be done in two ways, one possibility is to make a preliminary sketch for a painting or drawing is finished, another option is just a sketch making fun of art and if done properly, can actually turn the art of paper itself. A sketch on the left is full of life and energy, and can only be achieved through a dynamic and rhythmic flow of the sketches are watercolor, oil, charcoal, acrylic or other media.

In the sketch of the same level of detail we can see all the graffiti and other marks that I had placed, and each mean a spike mark or whether it is a form of hair or a shade is placed in detail how the search for abstract example, we see a full sketch, and then realize that everything is necessary, to see full-size sketches, and you can see what the signs and graffiti depicting.

To type a blueprint you need to relax and let yourself go and not afraid to make mistakes and have an understanding of shapes and forms. If you know the shape and form of trying to let myself go and lose all your barriers and preconceived notions of what you may think drawing is all about. Examples on the left is a simple sketch of a smooth and rhythmic, I really do not care about the toenails or if the dog is featured in the eyes. These sketches take two minutes to do, and it is a good idea to introduce yourself time to see what can be achieved.

Learn Step to Sketching People

Below step to sketch people.

Sketch is a means of visual communication, which is inspired by life. This is not a replica, but the delegates / features with the smallest details of the body. Refine the sketch drawing and painting an innate talent. This helps promote the capacity of the observations of an artist. This art is based on a thorough examination of every detail of the object. And when it comes to making a sketch of a person, you have to watch the body language / like a full and interesting. You do not need to define the pattern of all points of view, such as drawing, but to bring the essence of politics. We bring you a few simple steps and tips on how to draw people, the bottom line.

Things Required

* Spiral-bound Sketch Pad
* Graphite Drawing Pencils
* Pink Eraser
* Charcoal Pencils (optional)
* Gum Erasers (optional)

Procedure

* Choose the materials for your sketch. Make yourself ready with a spiral-bound sketch pad, a set of graphite drawing pencils and pink erasers. Even charcoal pencils, along with the gum erasers, can serve the purpose.
* Start with sketching the basic structure of the picture. Think about the forms in a general basic shape. For instance, think of shaping the head as a tapering oval. You can assume limbs as tapering rectangles and the hips and torso in the shape of polygons.
* Draw the basic shape on paper. Find out the longest line lying along the outside edge of the shape. Draw a line starting from the shortest line and the largest form towards the shortest line and the smallest detail.
* You need to make arching curves to form the lines along the edges of limbs, torso and face. Make the curves in a long and shallow form, which should gradually turn into shorter arcs.
* Always draw these sketches in light lines, so that it is easier to rub them for any required corrections.
* When you are confident that you have got the exact shape, draw heavier lines on the lighter sketch. Erase the lines coming out of the curves and also the extraneous lines.
* Now that the main body frame is ready, you need to draw the inner details.
* Start with drawing the eyes. Make an outline of the eyes inside the face, ensuring that both the eyes are placed in proportion to each other.
* Draw the eyebrows over the eyes, followed by the pupils and irises. Shade the eyelids i.e. the part of eyes that is under the eyebrows. In case the shading is overdone, use the eraser to lighten it, so that it blends well with the entire sketch.
* Make an outline of the nose, below the eyes. Add curves at the bottom and middle part of the nose. On both the sides, make nostrils, followed by the bottom. Shade the nose in such a manner that the tip is light in comparison to its other parts. This will give the effect of light shining on the nose.
* Now, it is the turn to draw the mouth. Sketch the lips below the nose. Make the upper lip a little darker than the lower one. Do not forget to draw the trench between the nose and the upper lip. Draw subtle lines in the lips to make them look real.
* Form soft or hard lines around the mouth, to reflect the smile of the person.
* Draw inwards curves around the eyes and when it comes to cheek bones, make outward curves. Shade the entire face properly, taking care that you do not overdo it.
* Sketch hair the same way as you did with the eyelashes. The length and form of hair will depend on the person you are sketching.
* Draw faint lines in the portion where light is shining, whereas you will need darker and closer lines in places of shadow. Always use downward strokes for hair.
* While sketching ears, pay particular attention to the curves present inside the ears.
* Draw neck and collars below the face. Add some accessories, but be careful not to overdo them. The facial features should remain in focus and the accessories drawn decisively.
* Once you have completed the sketch, make a border of both the face and the body dark. This will help in making the features of the person candid and clear.

Tips on How to Sketch Accurately

Below about tips on how to sketch accurately.

A good drawing will result in a good painting (see fig 4).The secret to improving drawing ability is to learn to see. This entails forestalling the left side of the brain. The following tips might help.

* Turn the drawing upside down or view it through a mirror. This will cause mistakes to become obvious.
* Stand ten feet away from the drawing. This will force the brain to view the drawing holistically.
* Do not look at the drawing for two minutes. This will reboot the brain and encourage a fresh viewpoint.
* Flick the eyes at regular intervals from the scene to the drawing in order to get a comparison between the two.

Making the Drawing Accurate

* The first line will never be accurate. This is why drawing from light to dark is important. Mistakes can be overdrawn and accuracy is built up as each adjustment is made.
* Become aware of negative shapes. This is the shape of the background and foreground around the main objects.
* Measure the relative length of things by using a pencil. Hold it at arm's length and close one eye. Compare how high or wide things are.
* Use a viewfinder and imagine a cross in the centre. Plot the drawing in relation to the cross

The Negative Space

Today's about the negative space. What is negative space?

In the drawing, negative space, instead of observing the positive form of an object, you draw the shape of space around the object. This may include details of the background or a design, or can be established as a simple silhouette. In many books about design, you will find an example that begins by drawing a silhouette of the object, and shadow around him. Although it is a gauge, this is not correct drawing negative space. How do you draw the outline, draw a positive picture - emphasizing the positive space - forms a solid object.

The current example below was prepared in this way, looking at the shape of each part of the object, and the drawing of its contours and nuances. This method does not achieve the objective of the exercise of drawing negative space, which is to understand the forms and spaces around an object.

Below about proportion of human head.

To accurately draw the human head, was first with the basic proportions. Shows the share of traditional rules are six faces in the same place, two and three parts. Horizontal division of the sheet in the "third eye" to the middle of the forehead, the lower the bottom of the nose. Mata was sitting in the middle of the horizontal, the mouth in the middle of the lower third.

If you are skeptical, such as simple math, try on different models in the magazines - it works! While this is an ideal that does not count various nations and individuals to observe the basic proportions of this gives you a starting point to measure against.

By making sure your base is right proprtions to start with, you will avoid the big draw at the next stage of the image.

To create a good head proportions, follow these simple steps.

# Begin with a ball.
# Drop a line from mid-forehead to the chin. 'Slice off' a circle at the side of the head, and from the front of this circle, curve a line down to the chin. Complete the plane of the face with a line on the other side. Now add the jawline.
# Construct the nose, indicate mouth and chin position and elongate skull slightly. (The distance from chin to crown is almost the same as from forehead to the back of the skull).

Mistakes Beginners Make

Today's about the mistakes that beginners make from sketching or drawing.

Drawing With a Hard Pencil

If you have no very dark shadows and the whole picture is rather pale, check your pencil. Are you using a Number2 (HB) pencil? These are too hard to draw with (though they are handy for light shading). Get a B, 2B and 4B for darker values.

Humble graphite pencil may seem the simplest of drawing tools, and so - but when you hit the shops of art, graphite pencil existing range can be a surprise. If you are just starting, low-cost, quick solution is to choose a select 6B, 4B, 2B, H and 2H of many famous artists. A serious beginners may want to go to the full set of cans, or try clutch pencils. The pencils are relatively cheap, so experiment to find what is right for you.

The pencils are nuclei of graphite powder (not lead) fired with clay, which varies in hardness. Type of graphite used in pencils is relatively soft and flexible, like a small advantage, and erroneously considered a form of lead, when discovered. The irony is locked, and many think that once had a lead pencil to base, although they never did. Graphite particles leaving a small, smooth paper with a slight sheen.

Pencil Quality Varies
Pencils can vary widely in quality. Irregularities in substandard or poorly processed graphite can lead to unpredictable tonal range, and even worse, scratches in the paper. Uncentered cores tend to break on sharpening. High quality artist's pencils deliver reliable, even tone at carefully graded hardnesses, and are less prone to breakage.
Wood-Cased Artist's Pencils
The familiar 'graylead' pencil has a graphite/clay core encased in cedar wood. These range in hardness from around 9b (very soft) up to 9H (very hard indeed) depending on the brand. Most artists starting out will find that a selection of 2H, HB, 2B, 4B and 6B is more than adequate to start with. If you are interested in doing extremely fine, realist tonal work, you might want to include all the pencils from 4H to 6B, or even buy a boxed set.

Learning to draw simple boxes in one point perspective is a great introduction to 'three d' perspective drawing. Because the shapes are simple, you can easily see if you've made a mistake. Follow along with this lesson to draw our own three-d boxes using one point linear perspective.

#2
To really have fun drawing and perspective, you have two escape points. Now you can draw cool 3D! This is slightly more complicated than one-point perspective, because you sure you do your right vanishing point vanishing lines. But when you get the idea that it is simple - you have little to give it a second thought.

#3
It's a very simple process, using diagonals to locate the center of a square or rectangle in perspective. From there, you can use this point to divide the shape into half or four, or use the center points to place the vertex of a roofline or column. Works in one or two point perspective.

Lighting is important, we must be careful when adding texture in a sketch. Take formed on the highlights (brightest spot) and dark matter.

Tips to Improve Sketching Skills

Today's article about improving your sketching skills.

To sketch quickly learn to sketch from your shoulder. Most people learn to sketch on small pieces of paper, usually no bigger than A4, sketching small images. Because the images are small, people tend to learn how to sketch from the wrist. Drawing a long line tends to consist of lots of small movements from your wrist, as you move your arm along. If you look carefully at these lines they consist of lots of small arches.

Sketching from your shoulder means that you can draw lines in one continuous movement. Instead of drawing by moving your wrist, keep your wrist still and move your entire arm in one long movement from your shoulder. It's not an easy skill to master but once you have, you definitely will see the benefit.

A good way to learn is to practice drawing on large A2 sheets of paper and have the paper vertical. This means that you can't rest your wrist on the page encouraging you to use your shoulder when drawing.

There is a simple exercise that can help. Draw a series of opposing vertical and horizontal dots at each end of a piece of paper. Practice drawing a continuous line from one dot on one side of the paper to the dot on the opposite side of the paper. Gaining confidence in your drawing action is vital to improving your sketching skills.

Sketch With a Pen Tablet

These about how to sketch with a pen tablet.

A graphics tablet is a digital camera that connects to a computer. It comes with a touchscreen and a stylus path that works like a mouse. The tablets are often used by visual artists and designers because it gives them precise control over the elements of their design. Another interesting feature of the pen tablet is that it allows the user to draw directly into an arts program instead of just scanning in the artwork signed. Drawing with a tablet to take skill, but requires slegs'n walking.

#1

Push the power button to turn on your pen tablet. If you cannot find the power button, look at the product manual for specific location information. Open an art program on the computer, such as Paint, Sketchpad, Photoshop or Corel Draw. Any program that allows you to use digital tools, like a paintbrush or pencil, is sufficient for using the pen tablet as a sketch pad.

#2
Choose a drawing tool from the toolbar menu by clicking on it with your mouse. Tools such as the paintbrush, pencil or spray can are good options. These tools may be found in different locations depending on the program, but if you are having trouble finding the tools, there is usually a "tool" option in the menu bar at the top of the program window.

#3
Pick up the pen that goes with the tablet PC. Place the tip onto the pen tablet and drag it across until you see the arrow tool appear on the screen's art canvas.

#4
Engage the pen as a drawing tool. Depending on the tablet and pen that you own, the process may vary. Some pens require that you press a button on the side of the pen to engage the tool. If there is more than one button, press the one that performs the right-click function as if you were drawing with a mouse. Hold down the button and press the pen on the tablet to draw. Other pen tools have a tip that presses into the body of the pen when enough pressure is applied. As the tip is pressed down into the tablet, it creates a drawing on the screen. For specifics on operating your pen tool, read the owner's manual that came with the technology.

#5
Change colors or drawing tools by using the pen as a mouse and clicking on different tools in the tool bar.

Sketching with Watercolor Paints

These about tip to sketching with watercolor.

Instead of the traditional dry media, watercolors and sketches a more complete picture of the scene to provide you a colorful, textured sketches can provide the advantages of. Here with watercolor sketches are some tips for getting started.

Keep it Loose

The first key to sketching with watercolor is to keep your hand loose and use big, sweeping strokes. This will speed the sketching process and leave you with the feeling and composition of a scene without taking too much time. Remember, you're not trying to make a painting worthy of a frame. You just want to record what you see for a complete painting in the future.

Skip the Details

One of the best reasons for sketching with watercolor instead of sketching with dry media is simplicity. Broad strokes and a loose hand will keep your sketch spontaneous, but you may still fall into the trap of over recording. To combat this, always use the biggest brush possible. Using a larger brush will help you record the big picture, not all the fussy little details, keeping you more focused on capturing the atmosphere and composition of the moment.

Paint in Chunks

If you are a stickler for details, go ahead and paint them, but not with your composition sketch. Do separate sketches of the details that catch your eye. For example, if you are sketching a busy farmer's market you should paint an overall composition sketch, a sketch of the gourd display, a sketch of the intriguing older lady, a sketch of the farmer's dog...you get the idea.
